About the entry
The 2017 #MoveInMiami campaign, a participation-driven effort in its fourth year, set an initial goal of attaining 2,021 donors in 20 hours and 21 minutes to honor the incoming first-year class, and once again exceeded expectations with 4,341 gifts totaling $1,373,310 to support all areas of Miami's campus. More than $100,000 in matching gifts challenges were unlocked during the event. Driven largely through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other online applications, #MoveInMiami recorded 10.2 million social media impressions.
From the Judges' Report
One of the judges’ shared that it was their “Absolute favorite” submission and the commission agreed. Specifically they agreed it was the best overall comprehensive look at fundraising, in part because it brought together various aspects such as volunteers, students and social media.
