In a full-scale effort to gauge the campus experience with sexual violence and sexual harassment, Berkeley Communications and Public Affairs worked to create awareness for the campuswide survey, a first for the campus. The ultimate intention was to reach as many survey participants as possible in order to best reflect a comprehensive survey pool.

Judges thought UC-Berkeley’s campaign to get students, faculty and staff to take a sexual violence and harassment survey was creative and well-done. The advertising spots emphasized both the importance of participation and the fact that responses were confidential. Survey response rates were also very impressive, a clear demonstration that the campaign resonated with the target audiences.
