No Resting Place: Holocaust Poland
About the entry
No Resting Place: Holocaust Poland bears witness to the deep physical and emotional scars that linger in Poland after the Nazis made the country the epicenter of the Holocaust during World War II. The artfully and sensitively designed large-format hardcover was produced by the Embrey Human Rights Program at Southern Methodist University to commemorate the 20th anniversary of SMU's "Holocaust Poland" trip—one of the longest running, most comprehensive Holocaust study abroad trips offered by a U.S. university.
From the Judges' Report
Magnificent production; photos are incredible and so are captions; text is presented as excellent “capsules” of information; innovative idea to document such an important trip; excellent and thorough use of resources; powerful piece; the program makes quite an impact on students; from a cost perspective they already made their money back on producing this project from donations and sales.
