Nutshell is a weekly newsletter for Temple University students aimed at helping them navigate student life and maintain campus engagement. Written in a conversational and humorous voice, the email delivers information on events, major campus news and links to original content-including lists, stories and videos-to communicate with students throughout the academic year.

Temple took a risk in submitting this, but the writing – more specifically, the editing – really stood out strategically for a student-centered communication. Even with too much white space and some awkward spacing, readers are drawn in successfully. We fully believe that students engage with this publication and learn more about the institutions’ resources as a result.
