This video was designed to raise awareness about and raise funds for the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement among key donors and prospects at Florida State University. CARE is a multifaceted center that provides preparation, orientation, and academic support programming for first-generation college students who face unique challenges in college because of economic and educational circumstances.

The personal and authentic stories in FSU’s video make this entry stand out. We liked the impact stories from students and how those stories are shared in the video. The video demonstrates how this program is taking care of first generation students’ basic needs and helping them be successful. The stories are compelling and hopeful, and you believe in the faculty’s commitment to the program. It is nice to hear from administrators who are so caring. You can tell they had skin in the game.
