About the entry
Stranger UMD was an immersive social media game based on Netflix's extremely popular sci-fi horror series Stranger Things. It was designed to give University of Maryland undergraduate students a reason to connect with the university's libraries early in the semester and offer an introduction to some of the spaces and services available in McKeldin Library, the main campus library.

We liked the usage of a contemporary pop culture show applied to a university benefit. The integrated scavenger hunt to get students to use the Maker space mixed fun with academics.
