    About the entry

In 1931, MBA student Terris Moore took a leave of absence from HBS to venture to the remote western edge of China—one of the few remaining "blank areas of the map." His objective: to scale the great Minya Konka, height unknown.

    From the Judges' Report

An adventure story of the type one might find in something like Outside magazine that shed light on one of HBS’s earliest graduates and his road-less-travelled. It also reinforced business-themed lessons on persevering through adversity.
