From the Judges' Report
The judges admired this handsome, super well-organized magazine with the beautiful cover illustrations, solid design and excellent storytelling. The book is chock-full of eminently readable features that boast inviting layouts. Lots of letters dealing with substantive topics show that readers are passionately involved with their magazine. The front section is extensive and dense, but easily navigated due to effective design and excellent headlines and writing. While this magazine, with its undersized, perfect bound format, appears almost like a scholarly journal, particularly with its dense front section, features like the cover story, “Free Verse” with its beautiful, loose illustrations, bring a whole new flavor to the magazine.
