Victors for Michigan Campaign Reception Invitation
About the entry
This invitation set was created for three exclusive Victors for Michigan campaign receptions that took place in key markets across the United States in celebration of the university's bicentennial. The guests were some of U-M's most committed volunteers. U-M President Mark Schlissel joined at all three receptions, inviting guests to join in conversation to explore the collaborative opportunities between the university, communities, and business—and how these relationships can be leveraged in U-M's next 100 years. A local business leader was also featured as a special guest at each reception to help reflect the voice of the business community in each key market.
From the Judges' Report
The invitation for Co-Investors in the Future — Victors for Michigan Campaign Reception is a classic invitation in terms of the information it featured. The design employed a solid blue textured card stock, a gate fold and 2-color foil stamp on both sides of the piece. The foil stamping extended beyond the edges of the invitation and the design met PRECISELY at the gate fold (If printed, we would say it was a full bleed). Two of us (professionals) were blown away by the precision. It was elegantly designed and produced. The reply card on a compatible white stock featured RSVP information on one side and the graphic pattern on the back — all printed in a blue that matched the invitation paper stock. The invitation and reply card were stuffed into a matching white envelope with an embossed flap. The unit cost was high, but it resulted in a very high response rate. Very nice. High marks all around.
