WSU's Giving Tuesday campaign was for the Cougs Feeding Cougs program, which allows students facing food insecurity to anonymously request RDA (dining funds) in $10 increments.

This video, which at first might not seem like an award winner, packs a punch. By the end of it, our room of judges was speechless. This video narrowed in on one single issue and put the problem – students experiencing food insecurity – almost literally in our hands through a text conversation. As the student continually types and erases excuses not to join a friend for dinner (real reason: no money), your empathy builds as you then learn the reality of food insecurity facing college students. This video brought light to a real problem and leveraged Giving Tuesday to blow past their fundraising goal to help these students. It was an extremely good return on minimal investment.
