Boston University's Everett
From the Nominator
Everett is the magazine of Boston University Questrom School of Business. Everett isn’t a boring, self-important business magazine. The visuals are bright, often fun, while the copy is easy to read and sprinkled with everyday language. That doesn’t mean articles are underpowered or powderpuff: they grapple with big topics and include hefty research findings, but do so in engaging, approachable ways. Rather than simply telling the life stories of students, faculty, and alums, we look for engaging ways to share some of the lessons they’ve learned along the way. Front-of-the-book regulars include "So, You Want My Job," a successful alum giving tips for emulating their career path.
From the Judges
Captured our hearts with its energy, its nuance, and sense of humor. The mag tackled serious subjects like gender discrimination, but did not succumb to self-seriousness, being playful and irreverent, when appropriate, which was refreshing for a business school magazine.
