Caulfield Grammarians’ Association Brand, Visual Identity, and Website Project
From the Nominator
The Caulfield Grammarians’ Association undertook a 12-month project to update our brand and develop a new visual identity. This project was informed by a market research survey (to which 20% of our surveyed alumni responded), as well as our current database and extensive stakeholder engagement.
Our purpose at the CGA is to nurture a profound sense of pride among our alumni in where they are from and where they are going. The new branding supports our values of being welcoming, active, supportive, and excellent, while at the same time celebrating the proud history of our school and association. The refreshed identity was implemented simultaneously with a new website and collateral (both print and electronic) to achieve maximum impact across all of our communication channels.
From the Judges
Caulfield Grammarians’ Association did an excellent job rolling out a brand refresh. With a small team of staff members and wise investment in an external agency for research assistance and designing key components of the overhaul, the final results were impressive. The judges were taken aback by how much this project managed to accomplish within the budget and available resources—both in terms of scope and quality. A rebrand, launch of a new site, and production of so many collateral pieces is a remarkable feat. The project as a whole was thoughtfully pursued from start to finish and the end results were on strategy and will be able to withstand the test of time.
