The President’s Gala is an annual event whose purpose is to recognize and thank the members of our two lifetime giving societies, the Morgan Society and the Lory Society. Each year, we individually recognize those who have just passed one of these thresholds in front of a community of their peers. We also celebrate the transformational impact these major donors have had on our university community. At this year’s event, we surprised our donors by incorporating a live (surprise) performance of the Colorado State University Student Orchestra.

Colorado State University's President's Gala took unique event experiences to a new level. It successfully displayed the ways in which institution can engage and recognize their most loyal donors. The significant aspects of this event was the careful thought in providing a forum for both major and principal gift level donors to reside, the building of tradition for how to distribute meaningful publications, the personalized touch of having event photos ready post-dinner, and the surprise element and impact of showcasing students who represent the full spectrum of beneficiaries receiving support via performance was really impressive. You could really sense the spirit of gratitude that the event sought to exemplify. Nice tie-in to previous donor feedback and a keen understanding of the objectives of the event.
