From the Nominator
Discover Nebraska is a weekly series that is shared each Sunday to highlight what is happening at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as well as instill pride in the institution and build opportunities to inform and engage our audiences. This Instagram story series is shared through the universities Instagram account (@UNLincoln) and includes 8-10 frames each week showcasing a combination of university news, research and campus events as well as alumni, games, music playlists and pop culture and memes related to the university. Each frame of the story is built to maximize engagement and allows the audience to watch, read, swipe up, screenshot, share and download based on what information is presented.
From the Judges
This initiative is visually creative and provides something for everyone. This initiative, which integrated all areas of the University "news" was well done, by book ending them creatively with animation and other points of interest. The project was strategic with using key messages in the themes of through the creative tactics. The initiative reflected strategic use of resources by not having any budget beyond staff time nor using outside vendors. The project was strong by serving as a model that could be replicated elsewhere, along with demonstrating good planning and objectives. The end results were strong, including exceeding the brand industry completing rate.
