At the Front Line of Climate Change
From the Nominator
Through its Arctic Studies Program, with support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Dartmouth plays a leading role in this initiative, facilitating, with partners from Greenland and Denmark, field-based experiential learning at two sites in Greenland. This year, for the first time, Dartmouth’s Office of Communications sent a reporter and photographer to document its cutting-edge research and teaching in western Greenland.
From the Judges
A beautifully shot, topical story exploring climate change and science education. The mixture of different clips across teaching, landscapes and research work creates an interesting narrative. Judges felt this video brilliantly demonstrates the impact of research in the field in Greenland on the next generation. Compelling interviews, beautiful scenery and strong storytelling makes this film worthy of a bronze award.
