Brown Alumni Magazine is proud to submit writing by intern Jack Brook, a writer and filmmaker from Palo Alto, California. Among Brook's accomplishments is that he was part of a team of student investigative journalists to break a nine-part series on elder abuse in Rhode Island in the state's daily paper of record, the Providence Journal.

The Brown Alumni Magazine demonstrates outstanding quality in the stories, “I Have a System for That,” “Crossing the Political Divide,” and “A Symphony of Moments.” It is incredibly impressive that the author of these articles is a graduating senior. The pieces were fun to read, fascinating, and extremely well-written. This was an excellent submission.
