At Tecnologico de Monterrey, we are certain that education is the best driver for social mobility and one of the best ways to achieve advancement for Mexico. In the framework of our 70th anniversary, we announced the creation of the Lideres del Mañana (LDM) (Leaders of Tomorrow) program, that is intended to foster the formation and development of brilliant, talented young Mexicans who, due to their economic and social condition, require support in the form of a scholarship in order to pursue a professional program at Tecnologico de Monterrey. The main tool defined as a part of the fund procurement strategy to invite the community to participate in the Lideres del Mañana program, is the creation of an endowment over a 10 year period, allowing to provide 1,000 scholarships intended to be perpetual.

This major endowment project serves as a model to other fundraisers and can teach our profession how to effectively engage donors—in a meaningful way—to achieve grand goals.
