SLCC Magazine chronicles key moments in people’s lives as they achieve success at Salt Lake Community College and beyond. It features students who gain direction, encouragement and success through focused guidance and strategic programs. It profiles alumni whose college training, coupled with energy and determination, drives them to overcome challenges to succeed in careers and business. It spotlights devoted faculty whose passion helps students reach their potential. The magazine tells the stories of lives touched for good by Salt Lake Community College.
From the Judges
Among the entries, SLCC Magazine addressed the broadest audience and did so well. The content breakdown of news, careers/workforce development, students, faculty, alumni, community/giving, and milestones is engaging and inclusive, and tells the SLCC story well. It is also worth noting that there is no full-time staff and a very limited budget for this publication which, given its quality, is impressive. The judges appreciated the commitment to tracking the ROI of the magazine on philanthropy.
