The Caltech Alumni Association’s annual magazine, Techer, celebrates the diverse achievements of Caltech alumni and their impact on the world. The theme of this year’s issue, “The Shape of Things to Come,” showcases alumni who are shaping our future. From Fei-Fei Li's work developing human-centered artificial intelligence, to Nicola Peill-Moelter working with corporations to address climate change, to alumni developing the technologies of the future, this magazine shows Caltech alumni transforming the world we live in. Techer magazine focuses on stories of alumni accomplishment and those of particular interest to our alumni community. It is devoted entirely to stories by, for, and about, techers—graduates of Caltech.
From the Judges
Techer has consistently great imagery throughout the magazine. The images, both photography and illustration, were creative and at times unexpected and thought-provoking. Great stories, great writing, and great design and layout. Strong opening spreads and fun elements, such as the crossword puzzle.
