A Billion Possibilities: Stories from the INSPIRED Philanthropic Campaign
From the Nominator
In 2019, the University of Sydney closed INSPIRED, the first billion-dollar philanthropic campaign in Australian history. This publication celebrates that milestone, tells the story of our decade-long campaign and thanks the 64,000 donors who made it possible. A billion dollars is a vast sum—particularly in the context of Australian fundraising. In our communications with donors, we wanted to shift the emphasis from one impressive number to the many extraordinary things the campaign made possible. We created a concept that acknowledged the unprecedented philanthropic achievement, while keeping the focus on how donors have transformed our university, our nation and our world. The INSPIRED campaign created a billion possibilities. In this publication, we tell some of those stories.
From the Judges
The design and content of this report are visually compelling and entice the reader to pore over the entire publication. There is a good combination of impact stories and donor features. The variety of graphics/illustrations and photography is eye catching, unique and fun, and the way the hero stories weave together succeeds in making the content both approachable and digestible. This is a high energy piece that wonderfully illustrates the effect that donor support has had.
