When the University of San Francisco’s alumni and friends received the Blooming Gala Invitation, they knew immediately it was something special. It was outsized, much bigger than ordinary paper invitations, and it was hand addressed with elegant calligraphy. The paper was rich and sumptuous, and there was a prismatic foil design that seemed to be in motion and hinted at a rainbow of colors inside. A die cut design proved intriguing, and once invitees peeled off the custom gold sticker and opened it, the invitation “bloomed” into a richly colored, almost 3D invitation to the CelebrateUSF gala. The bold invitation was fitting—it kicked off USF’s largest campaign in history, Changing the World From Here: Campaign for the University of San Francisco.

Overall, this piece clearly stood out. Not a single detail was left to chance. Paper stock, foils, hand-cut details, and use of color made this a memorable piece that we feel recipients would not only enjoy but would also savor the experience of opening. From start to finish, this invitation was exceptional in every regard.
