Want Gen-Zers to share an interesting story about themselves in a novel way? Hand them a disposable camera, and let the magic unfold. The St. Edward’s marketing team did just that at the very onset of last year’s budding disposable-camera movement. We asked nine students to use their cameras to capture favorite aspects of their experiences at St. Edward’s and in Austin (our amazing hometown)—and let us share the results.

This was a very unique and clever campaign. I can’t imagine how many students even know how to use a disposable camera. The results are very raw and interesting. The low budget is very attractive as well—less than $200 for materials and photo processing—and the results were great. However, this is more about engagement than recruitment.
