Endowment Management System

The new Endowment Management System platform gathers endowment-related information from four existing systems into one central location. Using the university’s single sign-on feature, users can see financial information from the University of Texas Investment Management Company, donor information from Raiser's Edge, operating account information from PeopleSoft, and student award information from Banner. As a management tool, the EMS allows users to oversee their endowments more efficiently. Users can create custom reports, review endowment criteria, see recipients of awards, view operating account balances, and manage compliance risks. As a compliance tool, the platform allows the system administrator to assign identified compliance flags to specific endowment accounts, notifying signatories to complete required action plans. As a communication tool, the EMS provides the university’s Endowment Compliance Committee with a central platform to disseminate and display information to endowment account signatories, their respective administrators, and university leadership. The EMS displays endowment compliance guidelines, has an announcement feature, shares the Endowment Compliance Committee bylaws and membership listing, and provides access to annual reports.
