Immersed: Practice Your Purpose
From the Nominator
This is a promotional video for Immersed, a new program at the University of Michigan College of Engineering. Immersed is an umbrella for experiential learning-related activities such as student groups, research opportunities, and internships, that helps students find their place and purpose, while applying what they learned in the classroom to their lives outside of the classroom. We created a video that places our Gen-Z viewers in the shoes of a student as she finds her place and purpose through her own experiences, leaving viewers enthused and inspired to participate in the program. Our primary audience was current undergraduates, incoming students, and prospective students, with the goal of making them aware of the various programs, as well as having them matriculate into one or more of them.
From the Judges
This video hit the core of Gen Z (and their decreased attention spans) by keeping the music and shots of this video moving quickly. It also touched on how a lot of students feel when they first get to campus (alone) and how they can find the place where they belong. It also cost $0 to make because it was in-house, and that makes it a win. Kudos to the team who put this together.
