In the fall of 2019, Purdue University hosted No Limits: Purdue Astronaut Reunion during the university’s Homecoming and sesquicentennial celebration. To commemorate this special reunion and honor our 25 astronaut graduates and commemorate the 50th anniversary of Neil Armstrong's Apollo 11 landing on the moon, we created a unique, printed poster to give away to students, alumni, and the community.

The judges felt this was a wonderful poster that served a great purpose of celebrating a major milestone in a new and fresh way. We were impressed with the designer's ability to balance a large amount of data (timeline, names, dates, multiple logos, headshots, web addresses, etc.) with a striking and eye-catching design. The fresh direction with the art was a delight to see. It was reimagined with a sci-fi vibe that still renders as realistic to the subject. In this poster, they completely supported and enhanced the storytelling of space and exploration.
