Part of our ongoing awareness efforts include sharing stories of how The Association of Former Students’ work (i.e., fundraising efforts) makes an impact on real people. One of the approaches of sharing these stories is through the production and distribution of videos highlighting people or groups supported by the association. This particular story features a student who received financial assistance from the organization following the passing of his mother. In talking to him, we discovered that his family had never seen him perform in the band at the football stadium, so an effort began to surprise him by bringing his family into town so they could watch him perform. The subsequent video tells the story of the initial assistance he received, as well as the surprise visit from his family. The video has been distributed online through several different paid and organic channels.

This was definitely the best of the bunch. It's a wonderful story that brought you along the entire way, well told and produced. (And who doesn't love a surprise in a video?) This video will engage you no matter what institution you are from.
