Every year, Singapore University of Social Sciences organises an eventful Convocation to honour our graduates. SUSS Convocation is a grand affair and there is always much information to be communicated to our graduates. Graduates tend to skim through the pre-Convocation email and miss crucial information. In 2018, we debuted a "Road to Convocation" video featuring SUSS’s adorable mascot, SUSSha. This video was produced in-house on a $0 budget. We followed SUSSha around campus through the Convocation stations, showing graduates exactly where to go to robe, register and complete all the Convocation processes. This video proved very popular with our graduates. The cherry on the sundae is that all the graduates will receive this exact bear as a Convocation gift when they receive their certificate, making this video both a useful campus guide and a productive introduction of our mascot to our newly-minted alumni.

Without a doubt, the most endearing and cutest submission of the entire category. Singapore University of Social Sciences’ convocation promo video is a fun romp that both delights and helps students and their families literally follow an organized set of steps for their commencement day, all while following instructions from their beloved teddy bear mascot. Shot entirely over the shoulder of the teddy bear in real time, this is a true-to-form shoestring project that brings smiles.
