From the Nominator
In this, our first ever Food & Drink Issue, we explore university programs and news on the topic and connect alumni to the USF food and drink landscape in the Bay Area, including more than 110 alumni-owned and operated restaurants, wineries, bars, breweries, bakeries, and food trucks. From the cover, featuring a freshly baked loaf of sourdough to the features inside, the issue covers food and drink in a way that is unique to the University of San Francisco. One story digs into the university’s purchase of Star Route Farms, the oldest organic farm in California, and what it means for students and faculty.

The judging panel said this magazine was beautiful and creative, with exquisite photography and illustrations. The cover caught everyone’s eyes. Inside, the content was colorful and easy to read, with stunning features. We appreciated the focus on food insecurity and food as justice.
