Chicago Booth website redesign
From the Nominator
The newly designed www.ChicagoBooth.edu launched in late April 2020. The new website brings to life the curious, collaborative, analytical, and bold Booth community and brand. The site creates an engaging experience for all our audiences through a completely updated user interface, a rich and engaging content experience, striking visuals and brand elements, and improved functionality.
The Spring 2020 launch saw the revamp of Booth's academic programs sections and Why Booth marketing section, the first critical phase of a multi-year website refresh. Enhanced features on the new website include a redesigned, mobile-friendly website interface; greatly streamlined sections for our MBA and PhD programs that reduced the number of total pages in these sections by more than 50% while improving findability; the new, 20-page Why Booth marketing section; and a streamlined, simplified site navigation.
The new site also featured streamlined content and dynamic photography, and motion graphics on critical landing pages; enhanced analytics and tracking to deliver data-driven insights; and full compliance with web content accessibility guidelines; and Booth Stories, a content hub that showcases dynamic stories that bring to life the Booth community for all our key audiences.
The project launched on time and on budget,=. It was spearheaded by Booth's internal marketing team, which took the lead on all aspects. We have already seen increased engagement, improved conversion, and major gains in SEO ranking as a result of the new site structure and content.
From the Judges
The website had very appealing images and a clean design. The use of the b-roll in the hero spot gives a great sense of place. It was easy to navigate and included valuable information.
