@JovenUninorteCO: A Connection Designed by Young People for Young People

With an increase in reach of 1215%, 5270% engagement, and a total of 3,494 leads created, a group of current students driving the #JovenUninorteMovement have been able to use the Instagram @JoveUninorteCO social network to show all high school students interested in exploring their new step toward university life in Colombia what it is like to study at Universidad del Norte.
To accompany all high school students at every stage of their entry to university, with fresh digital content by young people (current university students) for young people (high school students/future university students), our marketing team has created the Semillero de Mercadeo or Marketing Seedbed, a multidisciplinary group of undergraduate students who support the creation of high-impact digital content, providing necessary information to make the transition from high school to university easier, using technical resources provided by the Marketing Department.
The digital content is intended to narrate the stories and experiences that are part of university life, break those myths or taboos that revolve around different professions, such as gender stereotypes concerning university programs in the case of women on STEM programs, or men in programs such as education or nursing. We emphasize the importance of respecting and promoting diversity in an inclusive university. We take students on campus tours, and present our programs from the perspective of current students, among other topics of great importance with which young people identify and find motivation. This, in turn, attracts more high school graduates interested in studying at Uninorte.
