This little piece of Singapore American School offers our community a calendar they can take home and use for the 2020-21 school year as they look back at the events that took place in 2019-20.
From the Judges
In a sea of gift boxes filled with swag, the Singapore entry stood out as fresh and different. In lesser hands, this piece—which carries a lot of water as an annual report, calendar, and activity book—could have been a jumbled mess, but the creative team at Singapore maintained focus. The piece was thoughtfully produced, interactive (not easy for a print piece), and well-designed. Annual reports—whether print or digital—run the risk of being glanced at once, if at all, and promptly discarded. Because this piece doubles as a calendar, it stands a far better chance of staying in front of its audience all year long. And because this is a K–12 school, the creative team’s decision to include an assortment of activity pages for students was spot-on. Finally, the Singapore team included a “reveal video,” which really helped us experience this piece in a special way and as it was intended.
