"Diamond Chef Arkansas is the premiere cooking competition in Central Arkansas! After 13 years, plus a pandemic, we decided the show must go on virtually. Diamond Chef: On Demand promised to deliver the food, fun, and philanthropy guests have come to love! 

Six local chefs from the area's most popular restaurants and food trucks competed for the coveted Diamond Chef title. Guests had the option to purchase a "House Party Box" filled with savory and sweet goodies prepared by students and staff from UAPTC's Culinary School, as well as a swag bag of items to create their own watch parties at home. Local food influencers and celebrity chefs joined live to chat with viewers and cast their predictions about who would win the competition. In addition to the live-streamed competition, a virtual silent auction offered dining experiences and culinary supplies.  

Proceeds from Diamond Chef Arkansas benefit the University of Arkansas Technical College. Many UA-PTC students were among the brave people who continued to work and study in industries that put them on the frontlines in the battle against COVID-19. Support from the year's event not only provided financial assistance, it was also a way to honor them and the restaurant and hospitality industry for their service and sacrifice during these unprecedented times.  

More than 200 guests joined virtually. The event garnered 29 sponsors and $90,000 was raised via ticket sales, sponsorships, and silent auction."

From the Judges

Diamond Chef Arkansas presented an online event that resonated with donors. Hearkening back to a familiar event and presenting it online demonstrated their responsiveness to the pandemic environment. For their audience, this was a well-executed online fundraiser.
