"As we neared the end of Forever True, For Iowa State--Iowa State University’s nine-year, $1.5 billion campaign--the Iowa State University Foundation communications team’s charge was clear: effectively convey the transformative impact thousands of generous donors made through the campaign to Iowa State’s key constituents, including volunteers, the campus community, the public, and donors themselves, most of all. Our goals:
• Ensure campaign donors at all levels were appropriately thanked
• Show the many ways in which the campaign will forever change Iowa State for the better
• Report campaign results, including fundraising and participation by area of giving and other relevant metrics, to key constituents
• Recognize the volunteers whose involvement and leadership were vital to the campaign’s success
• Celebrate the campaign's success
Key to this effort was developing an end-of-campaign microsite that educates constituents about the larger picture of the campaign’s impact and the many individual stories of the people and programs benefiting from it. The result is a dynamic, streamlined website with heartwarming videos and eye-catching motion graphics that provides visitors with a sense of the magnitude of the Cyclone Nation’s generosity and the individual lives changed by donors."
