Gratitude Week 2021
From the Nominator
"The goal of Colorado State University’s annual Gratitude Week is to celebrate the positive impact private philanthropy has on the university by educating CSU students about donor gifts and how they enrich the college experience. The 2021 Gratitude Week program ran from November 15-19 and aligned with National Philanthropy Day.
One of CSU’s student leadership groups, the Presidential Ambassadors, organizes the week-long series of student-led, in-person, and virtual experiences by developing a comprehensive marketing plan and collaborating with different CSU colleges, departments, and student groups across campus. Some of the marketing and activation components planned for the week included a philanthropy-themed popcorn event, virtual videos that shared stories of various buildings on campus that have benefited from substantial private gift support, signage strategically placed around campus with giving information, in-person tabling events that included interactive activities centered around philanthropy, and sharing a series of donor and student interviews through social media that centered on a general philanthropy theme.
Through this plan and the various outreach efforts, the team was able to reach thousands of faculty, staff, and students on the CSU campus and in the community through Instagram and Facebook followers."
From the Judges
The "light bulb" moments really stood out. It's inspiring to see such a strong student-led program.
