"When we first saw Goose, a puppy with a prosthetic paw, with his dad, Mercer University alumnus Chris Scrivner, on Instagram, we knew we had to talk to Chris and find out the story behind the adorable pup. After a phone interview, we knew there was so much more to Chris' story. Not only had he made the prosthetic paw for Goose, but Chris worked as a resident at a local prosthetics and orthotics center. His career choice was greatly influenced by his participation in one of Mercer's signature programs, Mercer On Mission.
We decided to share his story in a heartwarming video to show not only a Mercer alumnus doing good in the world, but also highlight his experience with Mercer On Mission and its profound impact on his life. We shared the video across social media and our news and features website, The Den. Across all platforms, it was one of our most popular videos of 2021."
