"Jefferson’s marketing and communications staff serve a broad range of strategic and tactical functions across Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health. When COVID-19 became a fact of life, our team’s mission was to engage meaningfully with all of Jefferson’s audiences—employees, faculty, students, patients, physicians, families, communities, and organizations throughout the region.
Our goal was to help shift the balance between uncertainty and knowledge, between isolation and community, by providing the information those audiences needed to meet the challenges presented by COVID-19. By helping meet their need for connection in a time of dislocation. And by using truth and fairness, empathy and dialogue as tools for helping address the inequity and bias that continue to haunt American society.
This publication offers just a snapshot of all marketing and communications staff accomplished between January 2020-December 2021. Their achievements are chronicled through eight case studies, each addressing specific challenges the Jefferson enterprise faced and the communications-based solutions that the team conceived and implemented in collaboration with many throughout the enterprise."
