The Advancement Services unit at UC Davis helped the Cal Aggie Alumni Association (CAAA) track and measure the ROI of all their events. To achieve this, they undertook a four-pronged approach: (1) cleaning up old event data, (2) standardizing new data capture, (3) creatively repurposing fields in Advance to store the data, and (4) building a robust set of dashboard reports using Power BI. Now CAAA can easily see which events resulted in more memberships/dollars raised—all at the click of a few buttons!
