As our team prepared for the launch of the new Duke Magazine website, we began brainstorming ideas for multimedia content. We decided to work with our in-house videographer to create a short documentary for each quarterly issue of the magazine. For our first video, we chose to profile Stephen Hayes, a Duke sculpture professor. While the written piece highlights Stephen’s work, the video focuses more on the artist as an individual. Together, the written story and video tell a holistic, empathetic story of a Duke professor.

It was a great video. Very emotional and relatable with a neat, compelling story and message! The subject was the perfect person to profile. The music adds good emotion. Nice use of archival photos, along with current stills mixed with video.
