Kansas State University Foundation | 2024 All In Cash Course Podcast
From the Nominator
These podcasts were a part of a campaign that raised more than $1 million to provide financial literacy training for every student. They were produced as educational, engaging content leading up to our All In for K-State day of giving on March 22, 2024. This year’s All In was focused on raising money specifically for Powercat Financial--a campus resource which provides students FREE assistance on personal finances. Peer counselors, such as our podcast host, support fellow students on budgeting, saving, credit, student loan repayment, and transitioning to work. This podcast highlighted some quick tips for financial well-being and opened a conversation on the importance of financial literacy.
From the Judges
The creators of this podcast had a very specific goal and successfully achieved it by focusing on a subject in which they had expertise. Using a student as the host and keeping the episodes to a shorter length made the content much more relatable to the target audience. The video/podcast format was a great way to build awareness and push the audience to the university's financial literacy program.
