A New Two-Piano Arrangement
From the Nominator
This video is about a new two-piano version of George Gershwin's "An American in Paris," arranged by Professor of Piano Logan Skelton with the help of two University of Michigan piano students, Sheena Hui (MM ’21, piano performance) and Eric Yu (BM ’23, piano performance). The video work involved interviews with those three, b-roll of the three working together, and then gathering additional material to complete the edit. The video was very well received, especially by Professor Skelton. It highlights one of the strengths of the university's School of Music, Theater, & Dance: the closeness of faculty and students, working together as colleagues.
