In 2023, the Rev. Gary Braun announced he was stepping down after 32 years as the director of the Catholic Student Center at Washington University. We profiled Fr. Braun, emphasizing his impact on the WashU community through an extensive interview with him and conversations with several alumni whose lives he has impacted. The result was one of Washington University’s most popular stories of 2023 in terms of page views. It was included in a year-end “best of/most-read” story on our university news website, The Source.
