Miriam McLean is currently Director of Development, University Initiatives at Tufts University, securing funding university-wide. Driven by Tufts’ mission around academics, civic engagement, and DEIJ, Miriam takes pride in strategically leveraging interest from alumni, parents, and friends to enhance and strengthen the student experience. She is also passionate about DEIJ (diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice), serving on committees and leading programs and initiatives that create an inclusive environment. She is recognized as a leader advising colleagues with a strategy around engaging alumni of color and building a pipeline of future volunteer leaders. A fitness enthusiast, Miriam has been practicing yoga for close to 25 years and loves Zumba! She plans to continue the process of attaining her certification to be ready for her dream job in retirement.
