Bio

Caroline Allum serves as a director for external relations at UC Berkeley (Cal) where she manages a wide variety of events and programs for development, alumni relations, and the Chancellor's office. She loves being able to use her event management skills to support her alma mater. Caroline's current portfolio includes Alumni and Parents Weekend at Homecoming and the campus-wide spring Commencement. She is passionate about mentoring early-career colleagues and students. Prior to this role, she served as the founding event coordinator for the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing and an event assistant on the external relations team, but her "career" began as a student — planning events for the University of California Rally Committee.

Caroline graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in history. She has lived in the Bay Area for over 20 years, although she moved around frequently while growing up in an army family. She’s an avid fan of baseball, Cal football, and the reality TV show Survivor.
