Why did you apply to the graduate trainee scheme?

During my final year I made use of my university’s careers database, investigating jobs in areas I found interesting. I’ve always been passionate about education, having spent six months working in a French school, and I had found volunteering for the Red Cross to be enjoyable and rewarding. Taking part in my college telethon had opened my eyes to the incredible difference that educational fundraising makes, both to students and to wider society. With all this in mind I found the CASE Graduate Trainee Scheme, which seemed to align perfectly with my values and goals – I haven’t looked back since!

What are you hoping to achieve from your year on the scheme?

I'm looking forward to moving around the office and gaining insight into each area of Development and Alumni Relations, learning more about how the different teams interact with each other and with the institution as a whole. The variety provided by the scheme was a major factor that led me to apply - I'm excited to see where my skills are best placed and to gain varied experience, all the while building my knowledge of the sector with the support of CASE. I hope to become a great ambassador for Bristol and play a part in bringing its mission to life.

What are you career ambitions?

I aspire to build a successful career in the Higher Education sector, making a positive social impact and remaining passionate about the work I do.

What are your hobbies/activities outside of study/work?

Outside of work I love to cook, practise yoga, read, catch up with friends and family, and visit new places. Now that I’ve moved to Bristol I’m looking forward to taking up a new hobby, too – there’s so much on offer!

Proudest moment?

My graduation. Having my hard work throughout my degree recognised, and sharing the day with my loved ones, was incredibly special.
