Why You Need to Attend
Why You Need to Attend the CASE Global Leadership Forum
This year has been unlike anything any of us have experienced. As leaders, we have had to make some of the most difficult decisions in our careers—decisions that have enormous consequences on our institutions, students, staff, faculty, and local communities.
It is in the midst of these challenges that we also see the light—our schools, colleges, and universities are rising to the occasion to advance education and transform lives and society. We belong to a global community committed to this work.
Like you, CASE had to pivot this year and transition all spring and summer programs online. With that transition came the creation of the CASE Global Leadership Forum. It brings together senior education and advancement leaders for an elite online event—merging the best of the CASE Summit for Leaders in Advancement with the CASE Europe Annual Conference’s Leadership Forum.
This unique opportunity provides a chance to step away for a moment to reflect, to learn from colleagues across the CASE membership, and to connect around issues of utmost importance to our profession and our institutions.
CASE developed plenary sessions addressing these issues with small group reaction discussions after each. In addition, there will be a breadth of relevant elective sessions to inform your work.
The key sessions include:
- CASE CEO and President Sue Cunningham, Director of the London School of Economics and Political Science Minouche Shafik, and University of Washington President Ana Mari Cauce address the ways institutions are responding to this year’s challenges.
- Brian Rosenberg, president-in-residence at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and president emeritus of Macalester College, and Fred Swaniker, founder of the African Leadership Group, will talk about global challenges that lie ahead for education and society, and how innovation in Africa can provide valuable insights.
- Nadja West, the first African American woman to serve as a 3-star general in the United States Army, offers leadership lessons she learned through difficult times.
- A special offering by RADA Business that will help build your leadership resilience.
Join us for these conversations, and more importantly, deep connections that the CASE community provides. See you 29 Sept.–1 Oct.!
Sincerely,
