To achieve this outcome, the program has focused on the radical simplification and consolidation of mid-level giving in service of institutional strategy and academic priorities, away from highly bespoke gifts toward a demonstration of the impact possible through collective giving.

More Partnership: The evolving face of comprehensive higher education campaigns It used to be nice and simple, a major fundraising campaign would last 5-7 years, with a financial target, led by a campaign board and would have a quiet or silent phase followed by the launch and then a 2-3 year public phase. However, over the past decade campaigns have evolved recently in many ways with multi-phase campaigns now lasting over 10 years, alumni engagement or other non-financial goals and with different structures for campaign leadership. Siôn Lutley and David Mungall will lead a discussion sharing some of these changes and insights into some of the ways in which today’s campaigns are often very different from their predecessors Speakers: Sion Lutley, Partner, More Partnership, David Mungall, Associate, More Partnership

The key to fundraising success is Donor Relations! Strategies to renew donors of all levels
Undoubtedly the key to fundraising success is Donor Relations. Keen to learn more, then join this session!
Renewing, retaining and upgrading existing donors ensures a sustainable culture of philanthropy, a consistent pipeline and is more economical than acquiring new supporters.
What happens at your institution after a donor gives? How do you thank your donors, acknowledge their support and provide regular updates on how their giving makes a difference?
Focusing on Appeal donors, mid-level giving and the pathway to major gifts, this presentation will provide simple and practical strategies including case studies, applicable to any and every Advancement professional.
Good Donor Relations retains your current donors, keeps them engaged and attracts new donors. This does not need to be complicated, expensive or difficult but does need to take into account the scale of support.
Speakers: Lucy Moore, Senior Development Manager (Donor Engagement), Queensland University of Technology

From Unrestricted to Restricted: Creating Donor Choice and Opportunity in Annual Giving
Donor-centered fundraising has driven the last quarter-century of philanthropy. For many schools and universities, Annual Giving is the first step in a journey towards transformational philanthropy; a parent or alum makes a choice to support, and as the amount increases, their choices become more specific and directive. At the same time, Annual Giving is also often a lifeblood for the institution, providing essential funding for daily operations. Leadership often counts on this funding to make a nonprofit's budget whole each year, and having an unrestricted source of giving provides the greatest flexibility. What happens when an organization moves from having just one Annual Giving option, the default "Area of Greatest Need", to giving donors the choice to direct their Annual Giving to an area they care about the most?
In Fall 2023, Hong Kong International School made the change to move from "unrestricted" to "restricted" Annual Giving. In this session, explore some of the considerations and challenges of moving from one to many Annual Giving choices.
Speakers: Heath Hignight, Chief Advancement Officer, Hong Kong International School
