Mark Delos Reyes Davis
Mark Delos Reyes Davis is Vice Chancellor for University Advancement at UC Santa Cruz and President of the UC Santa Cruz Foundation. He leads the university’s external engagement efforts overseeing raising philanthropic and government support, strengthening relationships with campus stakeholders, and advancing the reputation of the university. Davis has spent more than two decades in higher education administration with responsibility for driving a wide range of initiatives. He previously served as senior adviser to two university presidents and has overseen international relations, enrollment management, and campaign planning. Prior to joining UC Santa Cruz in 2020, he served as the associate vice president for university advancement and campaign director at Carnegie Mellon University and held senior roles at Rice University. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from Tsinghua University (Beijing) and a bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University.

Tamara Michel Josserand
Tamara Michel Josserand is the Vice President for Development at the University of Washington. She leads university-wide fundraising, partnering with development professionals across all three campuses and works with philanthropic and civic leaders to galvanize support of the UW’s work to expand access to educational opportunities.
Together with development professionals in UW’s schools, colleges, campuses, units and central programs, she works to inspire fundraising success that supports the University’s mission vision and values.
Tamara has more than three decades of successful experience working in institutional advancement and strategic leadership roles at both public and private institutions. Prior to joining the UW in 2022, she led advancement at the University of Redlands in California, where she successfully completed a historic $206 million comprehensive campaign. She has also held key roles and leadership positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago; the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; University of Chicago; Northwestern University; and Yale University. She has served as a senior consultant for the national fundraising consulting firm, Campbell & Company.
Her work is guided by a deep belief in the value of higher education, passion for student success, and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
Tamara earned her B.A. in Government from Connecticut College, a Master of Education at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Hieu Nguyen
Hieu Nguyen is a seasoned development and advancement professional whose 22-year career in higher education has included service to some of the very best institutions in the nation. Nguyen has served in key leadership positions at Bates College, Bowdoin College, Middlebury College, the University of California - Riverside, Harvey Mudd College and is currently the Vice President for Advancement and College Relations at Reed College.
Versed in different aspects of institutional advancement, Nguyen has achieved success in many areas of fundraising and engagement over the span of his professional career in higher education. He has a proven track-record as a strategic leader and is adept at building innovative, productive, and high-functioning teams for the organizations that he has served.
Nguyen’s campaign experience includes strategic planning and funding for targeted initiatives such as capital and academic projects (from $3M-$50M) as well as the launching of comprehensive campus-wide endeavors (at the $300M-$500M levels).
Prior to joining academia in 2002, Nguyen worked in industry for startups ventures with Qualcomm, Inc. (San Diego, CA) and Burlee.com (Burlington, VT).
Paul Keenan
Paul Keenan is Senior Vice President for University Development at Columbia University, where he serves as chief operating officer for the Office of Alumni and Development, and helped lead Columbia’s recent capital campaign that raised $5B in 5 years.
Paul’s career spans over 30 years as an advancement executive, coming to Columbia from his position as Vice President for Development at the Hawaii Community Foundation from 2014-2016, and prior to that a 20-year career at Harvard University, most recently as Senior Associate Dean for the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, where he led the planning and execution of a $2.5B capital campaign. Previously, he worked at Monitor Deloitte as a strategy consultant to Fortune 500 corporations, and founded Keenan Associates as a consultant to non-profits.
Paul earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in History and East Asian Studies from Harvard College in 1985, and his MBA from the Yale School of Management in 1996.
