Lana Fontenot is the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement for South Louisiana Community College and the Executive Director of the SLCC Foundation.

In these positions, she provides leadership, strategy, and direction in all areas of advancement for the college, including fundraising, municipal relations, grant-writing, communications, and marketing.

In the past five years, the Foundation has experienced extraordinary growth and momentum under her leadership. Scholarship giving has reached unprecedented levels, the Foundation has raised more than $2 million for our planned Health & Sciences building, and Lana has led an internal effort within the College that increased employee giving from 1.8% to more than 65%. Additionally, SLCC’s endowment portfolio has grown more than 900%, and total assets have quintupled.

She received her bachelor’s in communication at UL Lafayette, and she also received her Master’s in Business Administration from UL in May 2014. She earned her designation as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in September 2019.
