Developing Intercultural Agility
This program is designed to address the realities of living and working in an increasingly global society where understanding other cultures is often an essential component of organizational success. Participants are encouraged to explore their feelings and perceptions about non-U.S. cultures in an effort to develop effective strategies to promote intercultural awareness and acceptance. This session is the first in a series on developing intercultural competence and focuses on awareness of personal cultural lenses.

Beyond the Bar: Creating Inclusive LGBTQ+ Alumni Programming
The NYU LGBTQ+ Alumni Network has made tremendous strides in providing programming for a more diverse audience over the course of just one year. Historically, this group had difficulty reaching the full LGBTQ+ alumni community, attributable to an excess of happy hours and other alcohol-centered events. Learn how the LGBTQ+ Alumni Network transformed from a majority cis-gay-male- identified group into a network that engages all LGBTQ+ identities. The NYU LGBTQ+ Alumni Network was a recipient of a 2019 CASE Circle of Excellence Award for their success in redesigning their programming.

How York University Humanized the Institution Through the #PeopleofYU Campaign
Through the #PeopleofYU campaign, York University was able to break through the mold and humanize the brand by highlighting the diversity of their own community. The campaign featured students, faculty, staff, donors, and other community members in a different light, showcasing who they are, emotional and shocking challenges they have faced in their life, and how their journey led them to York. Featured people include: unconventional artists, refugees, scholars, members of minority groups, members of the LGBTQ community, athletes, and many more.
