Navigating CASE Data
The CASE network provides a unique set of data for 19 diverse countries and CASE Insights on alumni engagement and philanthropy are the only resources serving institutions on recent trends around the world. In this session, you will learn about the wide world of CASE data available to members and how the CASE surveys are related to each other. You will also learn how to use the new CASE Insights Strategic Benchmarking Reports to drive decision-making by comparing how your institution performed compared to similar institutions and other survey respondents. This includes learning how to get the most out of CASE data and products (how to subscribe, download, and use the data for your own strategies).

While the day for big data is far from over, many organizations are struggling to glean meaningful insights or implement strong strategies using their ever-increasing number of data points. To get the most out of data, true collaboration between “data teams” and the rest of the organization needs to develop. Attend this session to learn more about “thick data” and how it can help us shift what we define as data, who is responsible for it, how it is collected, and why we must use it.
